Virtual Diary
Oct 2025I write every day — when I can carry the book
I've kept a diary for years. Not for content. Not for an audience. Just to think on paper.
The problem showed up when I traveled.
A notebook doesn't fit every bag. You forget it. You leave it behind. Some days you just don't have it — and those are often the days you most need to write.
So I built Virtual Diary.
A simple online diary that feels as close as possible to opening a real book. Clean layout. Private by default. No feeds, no streaks, no productivity theater.
Just a place to write.
The problem
Most people want to journal. Few stick with it.
- Physical diaries don't travel well
- Notes apps turn everything into a messy pile
- Journaling apps add features you never asked for
- Privacy is an afterthought, not the foundation
Virtual Diary is the opposite: one quiet place to write, anytime, anywhere.
What it does
- Daily writing in a diary-style layout — not a generic notes grid
- Access from any device when you're away from home
- Private space for thoughts, reflections, and rough ideas
- Minimal design that stays out of your way
