If you put material things in the first place for your happiness,
I promise you — you will never find true happiness.
We keep telling ourselves:
“I’ll be happy when I buy a big house.”
“I’ll be happy when I earn one crore per year.”
“I’ll be happy when I achieve that goal.”
But what if that day never comes?
Yesterday, I saw a video of a student who died of a heart attack in class.
Young. Sitting with friends. Normal day.
And suddenly — gone.
Life doesn’t give warnings.
It doesn’t send reminders.
It doesn’t wait for you to finish your plans.
We truly don’t know what tomorrow looks like.
So why are we postponing happiness?
Why are we treating happiness like a reward we unlock after success?
I can’t wait until I buy a house.
I can’t wait until I hit a certain income number.
Because tomorrow is not guaranteed.
The only thing you truly control is today.
If you’re alive right now —
that itself is a miracle.
Be happy now.
Spend time on things you genuinely love.
Call your parents.
Go for that walk.
Start that idea.
Laugh without a reason.
And one more important thing:
Never depend on another person for your happiness.
“If she says yes, I’ll be happy.”
“If he accepts me, I’ll be happy.”
Who are they to decide your emotional state?
Love is beautiful.
Success is beautiful.
Money is useful.
But none of them should become the condition for your happiness.
Happiness is not a milestone.
It’s not a destination.
It’s not a future event.
It’s a way of living — right now.
You don’t earn happiness.
You practice it.
